MANDY KRICKHAHN
Founder & CEO // The Collective
MEET MANDY: a fearless entrepreneur, community builder, and proud Northwest Indiana native.
After graduating from Ball State with a degree in marketing, Mandy spent time working retail at Lighthouse Mall before stepping into her most important role yet—stay-at-home mom to her son, Mark, in 2010. But even while raising her son, Mandy kept her entrepreneurial dreams alive, and after Mark started school, she set out to turn her long-time dream of owning a skincare business into reality. With nothing more than a $1,000 family loan and a relentless drive to succeed, She launched The SpOiled Housewife in 2017.
Mandy’s vision expanded when she saw an opportunity to bring other local entrepreneurs together while selling at markets. In 2019, she founded The Collective Group, LLC, a community for small business owners to connect, support each other, and grow all while supporting the local community through givebacks and events. For Mandy, it was all about building something bigger—creating a network where passion meets opportunity and entrepreneurs can thrive together. Since 2019, The Collective as a whole has raised and donated over $50,000 to different local nonprofits and causes around Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
With the success of their public events and givebacks, Mandy launched The Collective Events, Inc, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in early 2024 to host these events moving forward with the mission to champion local small businesses, nonprofits, and causes through their purpose-driven events.
Now, full-time at The Collective, Mandy is committed to supporting other entrepreneurs while living her own dream. She’s all about creating positive change, fostering community & collaboration, building authentic connections, and inspiring others to take risks, break boundaries, and succeed—together. For Mandy, business isn’t just about making a profit—it’s about building a badass community who uplift each other, challenge the status quo, and turn their passions into power for positive change.
In her downtime, you’ll find Mandy balancing family life with Mark (and their Wheaten Terrier, Hank), spending time with friends, enjoying local restaurants, cooking, singing terribly while dancing off beat in her living room, and doing everything with that unapologetically badass, positive energy that’s become her signature.

HOBBIES: Is "food" a hobby? Because I’m all about it—whether I’m cooking, eating, trying out new restaurants, or experimenting with new recipes at home! I also geek out over graphic design and branding, love listening to music and enjoy running (aka, jogging slowly and trying breathe, lol).
FUN FACT OR PARTY TRICK: I once had an encounter with a horse on a dark country road. Long story short, I hit it and almost totaled my new car—yes, you read that right, I hit a horse. The crazy part? I wasn’t injured and the horse lived! If you ever run into me, ask to see the police report diagram, it’s pretty amazing!
